The Collection combines an extensive part of the business and design archives of Warner & Sons, as well as smaller collections of textiles and paper designs purchased by this internationally-renowned company for design inspiration.
With around 100,000 items, including over 60,000 paper designs, photographs, rulepapers, ledgers, hand-woven silks and printed textiles, the Archive Collection documents nearly 500 years of design history.
Located in Warner & Sons’ original Grade II listed textile mill in Braintree, Essex, the Archive Gallery displays over 100 designs through temporary displays, offering the public a view of the past and inspiring the designers of the future.
