The Archive has undertaken special commissions to reproduce designs from the Collection for restoration projects at historic houses, or for interior designers looking for designs to complement a clients’ brief.
In 2010, the Archive was approached by the National Trust as it undertook a project to re-upholster the sofa and chair in the Long Library at Sissinghurst Castle, Kent. As it was not possible to identify the original 1920s screen-printed chintz, a close and sympathetic match in the form of Floating Magnolia was selected and digitally reprinted. The new coverings have been in place since 2011, and are still in use today.
If you would like to enquire about a reproduction or commission, please call the Archive on 01376 557741 for an initial discussion about your requirements and timeframe.
