The collaboration between the University of Essex and the Warner Textile Archive was supported by Enabling Innovation: Research to Application (EIRA) Innovation Voucher scheme. The Warner Textile Archive wanted to explore and prioritise which parts of the collection would benefit from research in greater detail, both in terms of public role and commercial potential for future income growth.

The project was delivered by the lead academic, Dr Alix Green, and PhD student, Samantha Woodward working in close collaboration with Robert Rose, Museums Manager, and Sophie Jemma, Archivist of Braintree District Museum Trust.
