The Archive is pleased to be able to offer educational visits for students in primary school, secondary school, college and university. Investigating a variety of subjects, the Archive’s educational visits are a fun and engaging way to learn something new through practical and interactive sessions.

Temporarily Suspended Services

The Archive is currently closed to the public. Therefore all visits to the Archive including groups and schools are being reviewed on an enquiry basis.

Class Visits to the Archive

Only one school ‘bubble’ (maximum of 35 pupils) will be able to visit at a time.

Unfortunately, due to the interactive and immersive nature of the education services at the Archive, many of the activities within visits will be adapted in order to adhere to current COVID-19 guidelines.

Free parking is available adjacent to the Archive for a number of cars or a coach. Alternatively, we are a five minute walk from Braintree Town railway station and Braintree Bus Park.
