On 15th April the Warner Textile Archive was very pleased to host a guest lecture and book signing by world-renowned knit artist Kaffe Fassett, which took place at the Bocking Arts Theatre in Braintree.

Kaffe Fassett is one of the world’s leading textile designers. The author of over 13 books, he enjoys inspiring others with frequent lecture tours, exhibitions and TV appearances. Kaffe’s website, www.kaffefassett.com, reflects his belief in participation and encouraging others to create.

Over 200 people travelled to hear Kaffe’s ‘Concentrate on Colour’ talk, which was designed to inspire and motivate anyone with an interest in textile design. The presentation showcased a selection of Kaffe’s latest projects, including quilting, needlepoint, mosaic, painting and knitting designs, along with those of his design partner Brandon Mably. We hope that the pair’s unique sense of colour rubbed off on all who attended.
