The Archive is pleased to be able to offer educational visits for students in primary school, secondary school, college and university. Investigating a variety of subjects, the Archive’s educational visits are a fun and engaging way to learn something new through practical and interactive sessions.

Current Education Offer
Due to country being in a national lockdown, the Archive is currently offering its virtual sessions for schools. Our current risk assessment for these sessions can be found here.
We are constantly reviewing and assessing new guidelines as they are released. We will update this page with information on our education programme as and when we can.
Temporarily Suspended Services
The Archive is currently closed to the public. Therefore all visits to the Archive including groups and schools have been temporarily suspended.
The following services will be resumed once Government restrictions for Braintree District have been relaxed:

Only one school ‘bubble’ (maximum of 35 pupils) will be able to visit at a time.
